5 ways to boost your engagement with your customers online

No matter the number of followers you may have on social media, what really matters at the end of the day is your engagement rate and how that translates to actual sales of your product / uses of your service or business offering.

You could chose to implement daily posts and blog shares to your digital marketing strategy but if those daily posts and blog shares aren't boosting your engagement with your audience then something has to change.

Here are 5 ways you could boost engagement with your customers online.

1) Jump on a trend and make it relevant

Whether that's commenting on a trending topic or issue, taking part in a trending reel or TikTok sound or taking on a challenge showing that you're part of relevant culture will show how relevant your brand and business is to your customers.

2) Repurpose popular content

Did you have an older blog post that particularly resonated with your audience? Don't be afraid to re-share and repurpose content, that your audience clearly loves. Adapt your content to alternative platforms and share in special interest groups, you may engage new customers and reinvigorate interest in your brand by doing so.

3) Respond to your audience

Follow and engage in discussions across hashtags relevant to your business and get your name out there for all to see that you're a key business and expert in your industry.

4) Ask for opinions

Engage your audience by asking them questions about your brand, products and services, ask what they enjoy seeing from you and what they'd like to see less of and most importantly take on their feedback and run with it!

5) Collaborate with fellow businesses

Collaboration between brands and businesses is the way forward when it comes to garnering attention and engagement on social platforms - particularly on instagram and TikTok where collaborative content posting of carousels and reels has been widely used by influencers in recent months. Engage with local influencers and brands and create content together that speaks to both of your audiences.
